Help needed I have a D4 cat dozer the pony wont start I have spark and pretty good compression it wont even pop or run on aero start we had a problem with the carby but have fixed that we are still puzzled as to why it wont run it did however run before fixing the carby is there anything else that I have missed that may cause a problem

does the spark plug get wet? If the gas is getting in but it isn't starting the plug should get wet.

open the petcocks on the cylinders and pull it over a few times if they blow gas out it is flooding. We always just left ours open enough you could just hear them pfst when it was running so it could drain anything in there out. Like Showcrop said if the plugs are wet it is flooded also.

Or, if the plugs are dry, there is a fuel supply problem.

The cork float in the carby was buggered so we have made another float for a holy (solid plastic) we are getting fuel to the left side cylinder but it still wont run on aero start

"Carby" and "aero start" sounds like Drewy543 may be in or from Australia.

Drewy543, welcome to the site. I have to agree it sounds like you still have an issue with the carb. Was it running right before you worked on the carb, or had it been setting for a time since last run?
Have you checked compression and valve clearance to see where those are at?
