Moline clutch

I have a Moline Jetstar 3 Super
The clutch does not disengage
I shortened the linkage to the limit and it still does not disengage
What are likely causes
Thx Ron

I'm surprized that nobody responded to your post down on the MM forum.

In addition to what Shaun said, if the live pto shaft and the clutch shaft are seized together for some reason, it would behave like a stuck clutch because the live pto shaft goes through the center of the clutch shaft and it is splined into an adapter on the flywheel and turns all the time the engine is running.

I thought it was the throw out bearing
I split the tractor
The PTO shaft turns freely within the transmission shaft
The clutch package appears good
The clutch mechanism seems to work as it should
The throw out bearing seems good
Im running out of ideas

Is it possible someone put the clutch disk in backwards? I don't remember if it is even possible in that tractor but I have seen it happen in others.

IF you took the clutch apart and the friction surfaces were separated and clean/dry, it should operate. Make sure the over center linkage is not so loose that it fails to unlatch. (not sure which model you are discussing) Jim
