Buhler/Allied/Farm King loader mounts

Anybody have an idea where a guy mind find the above loader brand mounts for a 4230 JD? For some odd reason Farm King (now) decided to quit building loaders so you can't get mounting kits. Need to mount a 595 on my 4230 and really don't want to build or modify the mounts I have. Might not be an option though. Thanks for any suggestions.

If you cant find some 'new/old stock' mounts, you may be forced to build or modify. What tractor are your current mounts for?

656 IH. I can modify those. I just kind of wanted to be able to put the loader on whichever tractor I wanted.

If anybody has a set in stock still, they probably don't even know it. It's just some random powder blue iron in the back of the old storage building.

Your best bet is an old John Deere dealer that also sold Allied equipment as a shortline. Unfortunately John Deere has pretty much made it impossible for there to be any old John Deere dealers now.

That was my thought but there aren't any "old" JD dealers as you state anymore. The distributor that used to handle them doesn't have any ideas either. When I called Allied and the really nice fellow I visited with checked everybody's inventory he knew of there weren't any around. He was pretty unhappy about them dropping the line and they were really good loaders. I suspect a "corporate" decision. He couldn't even give me the build docs or anything for fear of liability. I just love how things are going in this country/world. Guess I'll just have to build or modify some. Thanks just the same.

If you want a set to fit both tractors, don't modify the set you have.
Use those as a pattern to have another set built, with the modifications needed to fit your 4230.

Problem is they aren't easy to build with their pocket system. Lots of big iron. But that might be how it is.

Have you priced the new mounts yet? Purchasing new mounts could cost more than the price of the used loader.

If you don't want to modify the existing mounts, can you buy a tractor to match those mounts, or trade loaders for one that fits your 4230? Trading loaders or modifying/fabricating new mounts might be your best options.

Just think I will be making some. I bid on a used loader to fit my tractor the other day at an auction. It was in nice shape but no better than mine, it sold for $8300.00

Search on eBay. There's a guy in Texas with a whole bunch of new old inventory. Maybe you will get lucky. I tried, but he didn't have what I needed
so I will be fabbing mine from expensive steel.

Is your loader operated from tractor scv's or ind control valve? If hyd independent control valve are you aware you need to utilize a closed center conversion plug in control valve on JD 4230?

I didn't but I found the ad and unfortunately the loader mounting styles are completely different. Many thanks though for the information it is certainly appreciated. Have a Happy Easter.

It's areal long shot but you might call Delaney Implement in Burdett KS

Address: 502 Broadway Ave, Burdett, KS 67523
Phone: (620) 525-6221

They were a going good JD dealer for decades but now are in the lawn tractor business. However I do not recall seeing an auction or other evidence that they ever cleaned out the back room of NOS. They are still in the same old building so may have iron they do not even realize. I noticed that Mutt Delaney passed away a very few months ago so chances are the owners now (kids?) don't even know what they have but maybe would look.

I remember meeting Mr Delany several years ago as I traveled from western colorado to eastern Kansas. I liked him. Still have the ball cap he gave me.
