Adding a hyd. pump to a Ford 641(???)

My neighbor has a red Ford tractor, that is nicely restored. It doesn't have hydraulics, other than the 3 pt. system. Would a hydraulic system from a International Scout, with a snow plow, be able to be mounted on the tractor and be able to be used to run a hydraulic cylinder on a sickle bar hay mower?

Id check out the tractor pretty close.

With the 3pt, the tractor does have a hyd pump. That part is there.

For hydraulic ports, there are a few different plate styles that bolt on under the seat to route the hydraulics to create one or two hydraulic systems. The levers(s) are under the seat in front, or a bit to the right typically. If not being used sometimes this lever(s) gets removed or turned around to not be in the way.

Its possible the tractor has 90% of what it needs for hydraulics, you just dont notice it?

If not, getting one of those plates would be a lot simpler thing to install nicely and have real factory type hydraulics.

I will try to do a search on your suggestion. He is aware that this is a possible upgrade. I am not sure if he wants to make changes to his nicely restored tractor. He had asked me to look for a 3pt mower that doesn't need hydraulics. I think he might be happier with a remote, but we didn't have the time to discuss it.

I have a 641 with a front loader on it. The hydraulic pump for the loader is mounted on the front of the tractor with a small drive shaft connecting the pump to the engine.
