Finally getting some duals put together for the 4020 . been about 17 years since ive had a set of duals for it . these are 18.4.38 on 14 inch rims same as the inside tires . the shop got one put together. liquid death attacked the other rim so once again i get to eat calcium rust and dust . Picked up some corral panels to make a round pen for roping practice and horse training looked at them a month ago they were 85$ A week ago they were 95$ yesterday they were 115$ but they honored the 95$ since one still had a 95$ sticker

I picked up some steel last week for the welding class I teach and for a couple of my projects. The price was up 30% from last December and the guys said it was about to go up again. I figure this will affect a lot of what we use.

And yet I still see major construction going on all around.

How is that possible?

Doesn't seem to be slowing anything down.

Guess money is only an idea, it's not real!

Read a 'statistic from a publication that I feel is reliable the other day. Said in the past year the price of lumber has risen to the point it now adds $24K more to the price of the average new stick built house than last March. Yet they cant build enough new houses.

How about a pic of the bad one? I know that you are immune to viruses and that it is impossible for you to get injured in any mechanical mishap, but I hope that you will wear a respirator mask when cleaning it. I had to reach the age of 55 before I smartened up.

Anyone doing a make construction project, would have already contracted the material needed to complete the job as soon as the contract to build was signed. Its the next projects that will suffer I would think.

This one isnt bad at all Ive Had them when you took a cold
chisel and knocked a Half inch of rust off clear around both
beads this will clean up nice and shouldnt come back I had
one I took to bare metal and painted three times and it just
kept flaking .

Using the cold chisel or a slag hammer works well too, to remove the thick rust first is very important. I have seen where people have cleaned the thick plates of rust with a wire wheel and thought that they were down to good clean steel.

That is where you are wrong. You may not have voted for him, or like him, but as a citizen of these United States, HE IS OUR PRESIDENT. I didn't vote for him either

I visited the Ringling Museum in Sarasota this week and learned that the standard diameter for a circus ring is 42 feet which is dictated by the proper amount of centrifugal force generated by running horses which keeps the performers in their proper place. They started out with a 62' diameter circle but soon refined it down to 42 feet. That has been the standard for at least 200 years. Does that apply in any way to your corrals and what they're used for?

Well, we all know that construction puts a lot of money into the bank accounts of many businesses and individuals and it goes right through the whole economy. The 2017 tax overhaul added 4 trillion to the deficit, and didn't do much for the economy because tax cuts never help an already expanding economy. 600 billion, however, did go into IRAs as corporations bought stock back. I am thankful for that little boost of course, but for the most part the lower middle and lower class has to pay a higher percentage of the budget, while the rich are the ones getting the boost. I think that a construction package is better for most of us.

This one really isnt too much worse than just surface rust it
should clean up nicely I only had one I couldnt salvage Id
chip it off and grind it down and just couldnt get all the rust off
. And yes Ill wear a mask that calcium tastes worse than sh!t

(quoted from post at 18:42:06 04/01/21) Will muratic acid kill the liquid death ?

I think that the muriatic acid would dissolve the rust, but Phosphoric acid not only dissolves rust, it also converts rust to iron phosphate which is the black coating on your impact sockets.
