Running they are up around $20,000 now, you make the call....

well i guess if your like me and see a deal staring you in the face i just buy them cause if i took the time to ask about it it would be gone. easy to buy any tractor. ya its worth it, but maybe the engine is toast cause he says non runner. they were not the best tractor anyhow. you had to roll main brgs. into them at a few thousand hrs. and if anyone thinks that tractor is worth 4 times what it was new they must have inhaled too much exhaust fumes. i can see putting 15k into it so maybe thats why they are listed for 20k. was so many of them things around here in the 60's to the 80's that on every tractor auction each month here there was 2 or 3. all got shipped south to u guy's. also we had an allis dealer here in town and i saw piles of those tractors sitting in the lot. just for snits and giggles you should leave that 1206 for me and buy this allis. then you could spend the rest of your allowance to fix it. good thing you asked for opinions.

I detect a little green in your reply LOL!

Not to be a spoil sport, but i wouldn't take it if u gave it too me! Too many weird thing can and do go wrong with them!

Well don't be like us lately ya SNOOZE ya loose . We have had our eyes on four tractors to go look at BUT my buddy can't get a break to go , he is the one wanting i am just going to look them over and see what we are getting into . Saturday they were all still there and we had planned on going today and make a full day of road tripping and looking Yesterday they were all gone . And now i can't find NOTHING in 700 miles of us even on dealer lots .

they must not have had red paint on them , either were limes, lemons or oranges. only red paint gets my heart pumping and i drop my tools and get the red duramax on the road.

wondering if you got this orange one in your shed now? least its cheaper than those green or yellow ones. that will keep you busy for the rest of the year.

IH guys bashing an Allis tractor. What a laugh. Almost as good as a Deere guy bashing an Oliver! Anyway, Plowhand, I say go for it! If its complete you can make more than that just parting it out.

I am speaking from experience, there were 5 of them in our neighborhood, just telling what kinda luck they had with them, and i have worked for a Allis Dealer !
