Single Bottom Plow?

Would really like to find a small single bottom plow for my Kubota, but very hard to find. There seem to be lots of 2 bottom plows out there for sale. Is it possible to remove the back bottom from some of these and convert it to single bottom?

Thanks,
Tim

Tim,

I have a one bottom plow that I bought new about 10 or 12 years ago. I got it from a local farm equipment dealer. I was doing a fair bit of gardening at the time and I used it behind my Ford 2000 for a number of years to turn my garden plot. If I were going to do anything serious with it (which I'm not), I would pursue a coulter and a trailing wheel for it. It has neither so it does a really rough job of decent plowing.

I don't remember the manufacturer's name right now.

Good luck with your plans,

I am posting pictures of the Eagle Hitch 1 and 2 bottom plows. They use basically the same components.

Hopefully that gives you some ideas.

I know I can buy a new one, but they are way more than I want to spend in most cases. The tractor is a Kubota B2620, which is 19 net horsepower. So I am looking for a 3 pt plow - 12 or 14. Actually found a Kubota one last night not too far away for $300, so will pursue that.

Another avenue is sleeve hitch plow converted to three point hitch. Lots of info on the net for this.

I have a cat 0 one bottom Imco with a coulter and a guide wheel I tried to sell a few years back for 300 bucks. I'm just North of Detroit which is probably too far away. I used it behind a 16 hp Yanmar years ago' It would work perfect on your 2650 though.

Larry,
What's a Dearborn plow with?

Just remove the back plow. Perfect condition. Fresh coat of lipstick.
