What 1 ft. of 140H at $58.50 per ft. looks like if it comes out of Chicago--Got ten ft. out of Cal. for $180 and got FREE shipping.---Tee

The sprocket pushed the chain through the my homemade rear cover

Did you replace the other side while it was apart? My dad broke a chain in an L Case once plowing and when they pulled is out of the furrow so the other plow rig could keep going, the broken chain busted out about a saucer size hole in the top of the housing
which was fixed with the broken piece and Permetex Aviation cement.

When Dad's CC broke the chain in the muddy (or something like that) hog lot, they broke a hole in the bottom of the rear housing pulling it out of the lot. Dad just drug it on out to the ditch. It sat out there for more than 50 years until my brother was doing some dozer work back there and they loaded it up and scrapped it.

Yes we replaced both sides--We tested them to the max at the pull last Sat.--We lucked out on the breakage, it could have been worse--I had all the PTO cast off of it and replaced with a 3/16th aluminum cover which has a hole in it now--made another one. Thanks---Tee

We could of had the same hole as you--lucked out and found all the pieces of the broken link without taking the transmission all apart.. Like I said in my post a month ago--Which is better-- making a puller out of them--or leaving them rust away in a fence row then taking them to the smelter!!!---THANKS ADB--how did you stand the Iowa winter???---Tee

This is all Tony had and it was $999 a inch!! Thanks to you I did expand my search and found that cheaper 140H--THANKS SV

TEE, Sounds like Abe is quite a pulling machine! I wish I'd have known you were pulling in Sigourney last week. I'd have run down to see you. Only around 30 miles from here. My son and his 2 boys were here visiting and it would have made a neat adventure for the city boys. They spent a good part of Saturday afternoon driving tractors and the Gator.

Winter - I like it a little less every year. lol. I was feeling very good about having sold my cows last year. But during the coldest weather, my neighbor who is really struggling after having the old crony virus needed a lot of help. He has several tired old 3020s, 2 diesel and 1 gas, that he couldn't get started so I put the heat houser on my 6415 and kept his cows fed for most of February. The old fellow always has expected everybody to solve his problems for him, but this winter he for real needed the help. Not really what I wanted to do but it kinda felt good helping him out.

If I remember right you and Mrs TEE will be celebrating 47 years next week same as Crystal and me. Congrats and blessings! Arvin

So feeding those mama cows all of Feb. made you want to go to the sale barn and buy 100 of them--or did I read it wrong?? Ha-Ha--Sounds like you are a good neighbor--need more like ya! Yes it will be 47 years--Hope you and Crystal have had a good run like Jeanine and I have had--Time really flys--We are leaving today for Lincoln--3 days of pulling--it is hard on a old man! God Bless You and Crystal and maybe our paths will cross someday.---Tee
