Anyone have a DuAl backhoe? Later became Woods

I have the opportunity to buy a DuAl 106B/203B series II backhoe. They are 3 point mounted. Has any one owned a DuAl backhoe like this one? DuAL was bought by Woods. Called Woods are they are not offering much if anything for parts on the DuAl brand backhoes. Current owner of this backhoe I am looking at says the valve body is leaking. Probably a seal around a valve. Would there be a chance that the valve bodies were made by some other company who still maintains parts? I do have a parts manual. Most of the seals would just be O rings, but there are some gaskets used as well. Thanks.

Gaskets can be made and o-rings can be had from most places that sell parts. If you're worried about it leave it be and move on.

Most likely all the hydraulics on it are aftermarket anyway, valves, cylinders, and hoses. Hydraulics shop I have gone to just gets out the calipers, measures the OD and the thickness, then pulls one off the shelf with no hunting around for part numbers. Orings will likely be standard sized that you can get anywhere. If you compare the valves you can tell who made it or their may be a number that identifies the maker. Cessna made a bunch of them back in the day. I worked for them one summer running a multiple spindle drill press constantly putting a valve body in a jig and then the press would drill 5 holes all at once. Had to make my quota of over a hundred an hour, checked one every so often to make sure fit on the standard, and changed bits when I thought they needed it.

If you have a bad valve, then order a new one from Surplus Center which are reasonably priced. DuAl made loaders also and same thing with the hydraulics. If you like the hoe then buy it. Go to the surplus center site and price the valves. Depending on the flow rate you can get 3 to 5 spool valves for 300 to 500.

Ditto. Hydralic parts are vendor made, not by Woods/Dual. Common Orings, seals will fix you up. as said, make gaskets.biggest issue is sometimes the glands are secured in an odd way.So tear it Prt,get out your calipers. Get parts from most implement dealers.Or as said,if this is above your pay grade,or it concerns you, pass it by.
