I've inherited a used floor fuel tank with hand pump for my diesel tractor fuel. What spec is appropriate for an in-line filter in the discharge hose?

Around here Cim-Tek filters are popular and seem to work well.

You may want to consider adding biocide to the fuel, as well.

Most transfer tank filter setups are 10 micron, cim-tek mentioned above has a 2 micron also. Most modern fuel filters on diesel trucks are below 10 and/or down to 2 micron.
