Just got home from a lengthy medical vacation. On January 15th this 85-year old suffered a clumsy fall in the house and fractured my right hip. Had surgery next day to repair the fracture with a half hip replacement procedure. In the hospital for four days, then to rehab at a nursing facility for two months. Physical and occupational therapy sessions almost every day. Finally the people in charge decided that I could survive living alone at home. While I didn't heartily agree with staying that long at the time, looking back I know that they were right. Now it's home care therapy for two weeks, but it's great to be back home. Clearly improving daily!
