I still fail to see how that is going to do much for a truck transmission unless there is a pump to circulate the oil through it. Just putting it on and letting oil run into it will only increase the oil needed to fill it. If the oil is changed about every 250,000 miles it will not be a problem anyway. I have 2 trucks with over a million miles on with just oil changes at the 250,000 level using a synthetic oil in them with no problems in transmission or rear ends. I would get in and go or do about anything with them. Got old trucks around here that probably never saw an oil change in the rear ends and are still fine. Though since setting for many years if put back into use I would probably change oil just to get the condensed water out of it.

You dont ever have to change your engine oil either just dump a gallon in every so often . The filter does a good job dont want one dont buy it . Ever took the transmission top off and ran the engine at just at an idle and see how much oil circulates
