I know a fella up this way that has one that he painted black. He swears up and down that he found original black paint on it.

One of my auto body instructors said if you ever want to check to see how good of a body man you are, paint something black.

A flaw in body work that you won't even notice in a lighter color will stand out like the proverbial sore thumb under black paint.
