Chrysler Autolite regulator final

Thank you all for patiently guiding me through with diagnosing the problem I was having with the regulator causing over charging. I found a NOS regulator on Ebay that is supposed to be for a 1950-1953 Chrysler car. This tug I am working with is a 1946. It came today, I put it on, polarized it, fired it up and no charge. I momentarily grounded the field and it took off charging and is working like it should. It kicks out when the engine is killed and kicks back in when the engine is started back up and it keeps up with the lights. What more can I ask for? End of chapter.

Grand. Was your polarization process from bat on regulator to Arm on Regulator. Doing that should have done the trick. Jim

Ebay is a treasure island of parts like
that. I have snatched up several NOS
regulars and cutouts. Plus points and
condensers and AC45 plugs.
