Just bought a plow on auctiontime. contacted the auctioneer about payment and they said they did wire transfer. Called the bank and let them know what I did and what I wanted to do and they said it sounded alright.

First time trying auction time and first time with wire transfer.

Thoughts from everyone?
 
Auction Time is a service auction companies use to sell on-line. Auction Time is owned by Sandhills Publications. They are a large and very reputable company. With that being said you are probably wiring the money directly to the auctioneer not Auction Time. Equipment Facts is another on-line service owned by Sandhills Publications. I use Equipment Facts for my auctions and have used Sandhills Publications for many years. Google Sandhills Publications and you will see all the sales publications and companies they own.
 
I've purchased quite a few items on Auctiontime this last year and haven't had a bad experience as of yet(knock on wood). I've done quite a few wires and they go to the auctioneers, not auctiontime,bank.
 
I have done it many times and works well with there auction site. the wire cost a few dollars but its a nice clean way with dealing with people you have never meet and might never again depending out what equipment you are buying.

This was my first time using auctiontime and doing a wire transfer so I wanted to get some collective experience from the forum.
It is wonderful having the ytmag forum to query others on topics like this.
