Much better than electrical tape. The tape will hold salt brine in for the whole time that the plug is in the socket. Without tape the brine will begone in an hour.

What Barney doesn't see is both 7 way plugs are factory molded plugs. No water or salt can to the connections. Added bonus, the angles plug drains the water, not traps it. Never have I lost electrical connection while driving. geo

There is suppose to be a locking tab and spring on the plug cap that keeps the cord from coming out.

No need for tape or bungee cords.

I cut rubber bands/cords out of car and tractor tire tubes. Use them to hold things in place so many places.
