Helping Move Snow

Had the Gopro rolling while I was helping a neighbour clear some snow this afternoon. REal hard snowbanks in places and steep sidehills made it quite a challenge at times. Neat old bank style barn in the yard.

That is a nice old barn. My old dairy barn is built into the side off a hill like that. Makes it handy to store things upstairs

Nice video. Was that the engine or cab knocking at times? Also looked like you got off after a couple minutes to create some yellow snow.

The Gopro camera clamp was a bit loose and rattling at times. Gear shifters rattle around a bit I guess but I'm so used to it I never notice. The old 8000+ hour engine is smooth and quiet as it was 40 years ago.

That is some good snow plowing. Looks like the ground was froze underneath which helps -(no mud). I know I have asked you about chains in the past but looks like you do pretty good without them. I hope your neighbor sees fit to do some roof repair on that nice barn if it isnt too late. I wonder what all the old smaller structures in a row are - old grain storage?

Ground is always frozen solid as rock here all winter which makes nice blade work. That barn needs work but it won't get it. Those little wooden granaries were state of the art for grain storage when that farm was new a hundred years ago. Now they are raccoon nesting sites.
