Terracorp construction is back.

Sometime last year I called Terramites 800 number and ordered a hydraulic cylinder.
About 3 weeks later I called and no answer. A recorded message said number is not no longer in service. Someone said they went out of business. So I bought what I needed elsewhere.

Today UPS Dropped off cylinder and my CC was charged for it on March 1. So I called new number on box and got terracorps answering machine.

So good news terracorp is back. Bad news I'll have to return a $300 cylinder.

I was told the company was sold to a foreign investor.

Can anyone add to what really happened to terracorp?

"Someone said they went out of business" ..... Who told you they went out of business? Did Terramites say they were OK with the return?

About 6 months ago I ordered a hydraulic cylinger. 3 weeks later called back and no answer. Said phone was out of service. I called around looking for a cylinder. Not sure if it was Terry's terramite. Reguardless who, they said company was sold to Chineese firm. Others on tractor by net said they had the same problem. No one answer.
I researched Terramite. seems legal problems.

Tomorrow I'll call new number on box cylinder came in and try to get to the bottom what's going on. Hopefully they will refund cylinder or I'll be talking to my credit card company to resolve the charge.

I ordered a couple of cylinder rebuild kits from Terramite around Feb. 25 and received them about five days later.

Well good luck with the refund. It will be interesting to know how the credit card people view situations like this. Keep us posted once all the dust settles.

I'm getting the same crap, all lines are busy, leave message in a mailbox that is full. What does that tell you?
This cylinder is used to swing the boom. $300 .
I'm getting old, slowing down. Friend wants to buy one terramite.
Not sure if I want to sell a friend something prone to breaking down.
Doing business with friends and loaning a friend money is not a good idea, may not end well.

I wasn't able to get any one on the phone. I sent an e-mail to the parts dept. asking for prices and ended up ordering online. Ordered on Feb. 24 and received parts about seven days later.

Maybe it is just the 800 number that is disconnected.

The "regular" number is 1-304-776-4231
