injectors/ pump rebuild?

I have a question for dieseltech or anyone else with injector/injector pump knowledge. My question is how do i know when my injectors/pump need rebuilding?I have a white 2-55 that starts and runs great but it seems a little sluggish and seems to emit a little more black smoke then my other tractors [not under a load].It has fresh fuel and filters. It is an isuzu with a diesel kiki injector pump with 4600 hrs.

I'd start with having the injectors cleaned and re-set. I've seen four hole type injectors cause more smoke than usual if one of the four holes is plugged. Also be a good idea to check all valve lash settings too. Which model Diesel Kiki/Zexel pump does it use, there are several.

Iam not sure of the model of this pump it just has a bunch of numbers on the tag and it doesnt say model anywhere so you would know which numbers coincide with the model. What is the turnaround time on sending you the injectors. Is there a special socket needed for taking them out? thanks.
