Snow blower combine

Anyone remember an article a few years back
about a town (maybe in Iowa) that was using a
combine for snow removal?
Maybe green magazine, or antique power.......
Like a JD 95 with the header and grain tank
removed, and like an 8 foot snow blower mounted
In place of the header. Cab with heater, hydrostatic
drive, blower discharge where operator wanted.

The one I saw was an old IH 1440 or 1460. The pto drive for the snow blower was basically just an extension of the rotor out the front.

I remeber the red one, didnt know about the green one.

We all know New Idea had a snow blower for their mule, part of the Uni system.

I believe it's a county highway department about 30 miles from me that made an IH 915 into a rig to put gravel on the sides of blacktop roads. Another city made one into a snow blower, but I can't remember where that one is.

There are actually quite a few of them. Not sure which one you are specifically talking about. Google might be your friend in this search.

There used to be a guy on YT whose handle was Bob. He had a homemade Deere combine/snowblower that he posted pictures of. I think Bob was from North Dakota? I haven't seen any postings from Bob in over a year - hope he's ok.

I remember an IH combine here in Sask. converted to a snowblower head. I also saw a neighbour's converted 1460 IH combine that he had attached a front end loader to. Really interesting machine that unfortunately I never got any pictures of.
