One step forward

A couple steps back. Got the cub with governor issues sorted out. Re adjusted linkage. Clean and oiled the spring on governor. Took the adjustment bolt out and squirted penetrating oil in with the weights. Something fixed it. Went to drive it and clutch is stuck. Had to cut tractor off to get it in any gear. 50 ft into my test drive my wife found a clutch finger on the ground. Broke right off pressure plate. Can I split tractor, and save the clutch plates? Just buy a pressure plate. They are still stuck together. Remember I'm cheap.....lol.

Won't know until you get it apart.

It's probably not stuck. If a finger broke off the pp it will not release.

If there are still grooves in the lining, and everything else looks good about it, yes you can reuse it.

Complete clutch kit for a Cub is about $100. Pressure plate is around $50.

Don't know if you're getting any more for $175 at Steiner's, or just the same thing with the price jacked up to make it seem like you're getting more.
