If you're on modern view, click the little box that says "URL" in it, then paste your link, then click the "URL" box again. That should do it for you.

If you're on 18th century classic I have no idea how to do it there.

If in classic, there is a "Optional Link URL" box directly below the "Comments" box. Put your link in there. If you want to give the link a title, that goes in the "Link Title" box below that.
Simple as pie. (My wife doesn't like that phrase because she says that pie isn't really simple.)
