I waited until 1963 and got a 5010 . I really like the cartoons on these films . At first when I seen they were just still pictures I wasn’t sure how I’d like them but now I can’t quit watching.

The cartoons in these films are great. IH had some good ones too. Especially with the owl that apparently had way too much coffee.... or not enough. Currently working on the video for the 55 & 95 combines & then moving on to the 24-T baler & Ejector. Though there are no owls in that one, it's still a hoot. Can't wait for you to see the girl in the tuba & a rabbit with an hourglass figure.

Do you have any with press wheel drills . I hate stupid end wheel drills but they seem to be the only kind people see

I don't see anything. That would have been a neat addition to the lineup. There's a few other cool ones coming up. The 5010 is one of them. That's a little further down the field yet. Have several other ones to get done first.

I remember going to the John Deere dealers new tractor presentation, and seeing this slide show in a local community hall when I was about 8. There would have been probably 50 farmers there and about 60 kids like me. We all sat there fascinated by the pictures , no running around, or talking. Just amazed at the pictures and new tractors. Most farmers were still using 50’s era tractors, even in 1968

I was about 7 or 8 then, On John Deere Day, we all went to the Show, held at the community center. After the film show, there were door prizes. A kid from the audience was called up to draw the winner's names. Then the kid was given a new J.D. toy for helping. Over the years I got one or two toys that way.

Now that you mention it, I remember winning a toy JD garden tractor. But this was a tiny dealer, small building, with very few people there. This was the end of the era with little dealers seemingly on every corner.
