A few months ago I believe you posted about replacing the suspension rods on your washing machine. If I recall correctly, this was after you replaced the tub bearing and seal. How did you determine that the suspension rods/cables needed replacing?

If it was not you that posted about this I apologize.

We.....uhhhhhh, my wife replaced the suspension rods in our washing machine. It got to the point it would not spin. Started noticing a problem when it would shake really bad. Then got to where it would jump around when it tried to spin. Eventually got so bad it would attempt to spin and shut it's self off. Easy fix..... Or so my wife says.

(quoted from post at 20:33:06 02/11/21) Thanks.

The "rods" are steel and don't fail.

But when you buy the "rod kit" the "rods" come with the nylon suports/balljoints/clamsells that attach the rods (at either end) to the cabinet of the machine and at the other end to the drum/motor/transmission.

It's the nylon attaching parts that scuff and wear and fail, the rods, not so much.

I always lay the clothes in there,so there staggered, kinda like firewood, never had it out of balance after that!
