Blew a gasket

The Super 90 Massey started with no problem in today's cold after 5 hours of heating but it blew a gasket on the injection pump. I didn't notice it til I was out moving bales and smelled diesel. Fine stream spraying out the side of the pump. Appears to be from a small plate on the side of the CAV pump. I kept going and finished the job but... I guess it needs a new gasket. Too cold to be working on diesel fuel with bare hands.

(quoted from post at 18:57:43 02/09/21) Dieseltech would be who I would ask for
help on that.
I've had one comment saying it is just a timing window with less than 30 psi. New gasket will hopefully be all it needs. Just curious why it would suddenly start leaking bad.

I agree, post a couple pictures and post with a reference to injector pump in title and diesel tech or Al the pump man will help you.

From what I can see the gasket is the only problem. If I can get, or make, a new one and install it I think I should be fine. Here is a picture of the CAV pump from the I&T shop manual for the Super 90. The fuel sprays out right where the number 5 is indicated.

(quoted from post at 17:55:13 02/10/21) Looks like it should be easy to make one.
Thats what i was thinking too. Its pretty basic. I'll likely wait til the temp gets above 0F in the shed though. Ice cold fuel on bare hands does not work for me.

You should be able to get a piece of gaasket paper on the protusion and tap out a gasket with the
round end of a ball pein hammer.
