I have this old Tokheim hand pump I got from my gramps old place a few years ago. Im not 100% sure but I think he used it to pump kerosene or possibly diesel for the tractors. It has a Serial number of 964 and what looks like 14805. Anynody know about what time frame this would have been from?

We had one just like it. It was on the gas barrel when I was just old enough to remember in the mid-fifties. I have a hunch dad bought it when he started farming in 1948. It is still hanging up in the barn. It probably first dates back to long before 1948. I can envision a ton of them used during WW2

Over the years, Tokheim acquired the American Tank and Pump Company (1948), the National Pumps
Corporation (1948), and William M. Wilson’s Sons (Gasboy), Inc.(1986), along with a number of
smaller supply companies.

On December 1, 1953, Tokheim officially became the Tokheim Corporation. Since the company had not
made oil tanks for more than 25 years, it was felt that a new name was appropriate.

I have one that I use that would be from the mid-late 60’s. Yours would appear to be older than mine by the design.

Since you mentioned WW2, its a good possibility this one was military at one time. When gramps came home, he did
stayed in the NG for a few months before he came home.

That's a good read about this Tokheim company. I remember my uncle got an old Tokheim pump on his farm. I'm coming over this week to help him install the new suspension from 4Wheelonline onto his truck. I'll see if he still got the pump.
