Oh, forgot to mention the prices came out of this catalog I ran across today.

Wow, $10.25 ea. for a piston with rings. Using 1935
as the supposed date compared to now an inflation
calculator says that amount would buy $195.00 today.

used to get their catalog every year. The big one with the used parts list in it.

I miss central tractor also. We had one they had lots of new parts and you could even get used parts.

My Dad was the manager of the store in Sedalia Mo when I was a kid. He was laid off from the MoPac RR for several years and worked for them. I remember I was 1st or 2nd grade and mom stopped by the store. In the back is where they took parts off of tractors and I sat on a battery. I had on brand new school jeans and it ate the seat out. I got spanked on top of having ruined the jeans. That would have been about 1963 or 64
