Driving and Flying

Since it was a rare sunny day today and had warmed up to +15F I took a drive through the woods on the nice new trail I'd bladed out on Friday for the grain semis. Took the drone along to get a little overhead view. Sun on snow made some nice scenery. Figured I might spot a moose or two in the bush but only saw tracks.

(quoted from post at 22:12:33 01/31/21) like your postings you might have said but what part of Canada are you ?
East central Sask. The part that used to be known as the parklands although with all the land clearing lately it is pretty open country. Mine is a little oasis of natural trees that shows how all the land used to be around here.

That was amazing! I see alot of trees laying down for firewood? Im surprised how flat the land is there.

Hi Jay. I think I"ve said before that this is not the flat lands of Sask. This is the rolling parklands. Although we do have the odd level patch it is not flat by a long stretch. When I had my 50X 64 shed built I had to haul in many truck loads of fill to bring one corner up 4 feet just to level it.
And those dead trees you see are water killed. Almost all those bushes have a slough in the centre and in the wet decade we just came through they were so full that the trees died out.

Nice video..Where we are between the water and the beaver are trees are just about down to nil. A lot of the water has now dried up so had a cat come in this fall and clean up some of the ugly mess.

Yeah, I couldn't remember that name.

Turns out Rouleau, (Dog River), is 36 KM from Milestone, (Wullerton). Bit more than spittin' distance I guess.

Still don't know where the OP is located though.

I've heard of those places but never been there. Guess I'm a bit unpatriotic having never watched a full episode of Corner Gas. I'd guess its close to a couple hours South of me. Down in the real flat lands and open country. Not a place I'd care to work and live.
