Offset Ford

Found this one for sale. Needs a good home. I'm positive we can provide that. These are usually high dollar tractors, but this one is rough. Are the lift arms the same as any Ford? I know where i can get a radiator and starter...... I have a couple spare front tires......maybe a fun project, with a possible good pay out in the end?

I think he needs to take the 1 off the front of the price before you can make any money on that one! That's only what you can see,you don't know if it runs and what kind of condition the trans. is in or the rear diff. or the hydraulics, looks like they started parting it out for a reason.I would shy away from it.

Yep I agree on price.....if it was any other Ford. Not many offsets around. Still, would be nice to pay less...... Can't hurt to ask.

Mike G may be right in that the parting process may have started. From what I read anyway it may be rare to some degree. Tin is straight. Radiator and , front tires,, a battery, and a starter may not be hard to find but finding a 3. point hitch may be harder to find. And maybe not.... Who knows. Make a nice gardening tractor though. Something that's deserves some thought. Wingnut

Yes if and only if it has the cultivator parts.
Without the cultivator parts it becomes another tractor.
Some buy them to show and since rare drives up the price some.

Another poster here bought a 541 (same tractor) I found in running condition.
He paid $2600 for it. It did not have the cultivator parts but ran and had 3 point arms.
Not a lot of wiggle room for a profit when you consider all this tractor needs.
He is at least $1000 to high maybe more.

A lot of the parts on the 541 and 2000 offset are only found on the offset.
I think the 601 lift arms will work you just need to drill them for the different sway chains.
But if you are missing just one part unique to the offset you are most likely dead in the water.

Buy it! Offer 1500. But go ahead and pay full price if he wont budge. A rare tractor for your collection. As said, sell a Cub or two if needed, you can always find more.Or start a collection of Offset tractors. Remember there is no such thing as "too many tractors" LOL

Must have had a planter with it at one time. That looks like a planter drive gear sticking out of the on the right rear final drive housing.

If it’s a Ford or a Farmall cub, it will be in the best of hands with Grandpa and Grandma. Try and make a deal!
