What color paint?

When I first started working at the phone company one of the first things I was thought was the installers prayer, "now I lay me down to sleep a real of cable at my feet if I should die before I wake Blue Orange Green Brown Slate".

Except now when you buy a cheap pigtail or light it’s not so easy but if it’s still a good place to start

As what are you referring to??painting an international red is right but so
is yellow. Might look funny with a red right fender and a yellow left fender.
No idea what u are referring to

Ok: more information. I had no idea this would bring so many different answers. At my work we are molding a left part and a right part in the same machine. Im make two racks to stage the parts in before they get inspected and boxed. One rack for left, one rack for right. The parts a very similar and I can not make the rack so that it will not take one part or the other. I thought it might make it easier to keep them from not mixing them, if I painted them a color which stood for right or left. We have had issues with mixing parts being sent to the customer before and our customer gets a bit upset with us.

Also as this really is tractor related, these parts go
on a unit that has green paint. We have been
making them for this same unit for over 11 years
and just replace our worn out tooling. When we did
so some very minor changes were made. Most end
customer would never know the difference. We
have one machine dedicated to this project. It’s
either running these two parts or a third part which
also goes on the same unit.

(quoted from post at 07:29:24 01/30/21) My hearing aids use blue for left, red for right.....have no idea why...

Contact lens cases use white for left and blue for right. Turn signals use down for left and up for right. And who knows but someday I may be in a nursing home with my hands painted to remind me which is left and right assuming I can remember what the colors are for.

When I got mine they told me, "R is for red, R is also for right. Therefore the one with the red dot goes in the right ear."

I can see the logic but the memory test also begs the question when the times change for daylight savings.
