my son was in surgery yesterday and it went badly...they induced a coma after he lost blood pressure on the table. Today they will see if he has had any brain damage. I am very scared for him right now.

I hope to have an update on his condition soon this morning.
 
Dear Lord, We pray for Chuck's son and family. Guide the Drs. and nurses caring for him, we pray for
his family. We ask you to pour your healing mercies over them. In Jesus's name, Amen
 
Chuck, don't give up hope. My granddaughter had a serious head injury (fractured skull) in soccer in May 2019. They actually removed part of
her skull to allow for brain swelling. She was in a coma for several days, and no idea what she'd be like if she recovered. Today she's a
straight A student in advanced classes and due to graduate from high school next year. Driving to school and doing all the normal stuff a
teen age girl does. Bakes some mean pies too. My prayers are for your son.

I am hoping that it will turn out well for him....hoping hoping.
 
Have a brother with a similar story...40 years later he is doing well. Prayer do
work and on their way.

The power of GOD is amazing, never underestimate it.
 

More prayers from me. Usually inducing a coma is a good thing in these situations. Hope he pulls through.
 
To all who sent prayers and well wishes a very heartfelt thank you from me. The doctors are more optimistic about his condition and recovery. I am very humbled by all of this. Thanks to everyone to show me the power of prayer.

I am more encouraged today as he is moving his arms and legs and his eyes are open and he is looking about. It will be a slow process to full recovery I am told. I have more hope today than before. Thanks again who sent prayers and well wishes.
 
I will keep praying for a full recovery. This is very stressful for you as a parent. It hits me personally. We lost our daughter from a botched surgery. She hemorrhaged for too long before they noticed it. She did not recover.
 
Update: My son's heart stopped during surgery so they went to cpr and did it with enough force thay broke some of his ribs. but he survived that. The doctors say that there was enough blood getting to his brain during the 20 minutes of cpr that he suffered no brain damage as he looks ok and seems to be alert. The problem he is on some wicked sedatives where he starts to hallucinate like he did today. Since I live 2000 miles away and becuase of nnalert I was able to connect by zoom. The ICU had that option available. He will stay in the hospital for a good while and once the nnalert crap ends I will visit him in person. I thank each and every one for their prayer wishes. Without that i would have sunk to a very low level in spirit. Right now I want his to finish with the sedatives and concentrate on the upcoming rehap. life can be filled with unpleasant surprises. i am not sure if this is gods plan or not. But i will post as i go along.

Praise the Lord for him coming this far without serious brain damage. I will keep praying and I am sure others will too, and the update is much appreciated.

May God be with your son and your family. I prayed that he will be healed.
