Boy you sure are getting pretty good use out of that truck ! I don’t think anything you own gets much rest ! Ha ha ha !

Everything I have is here to work and I use it as much as possible this old truck is no exception. It really is a fun old truck to use

We had a 72 gmc grain truck with a 350 in it.never could stop from blowing the “donut” between the manifold and exhaust pipe.it had a distinct sound that I still remember after 32 years since I last drove it

Ive been thinking of your truck. An HEI distributor from and 80's era car or pickup would be an upgrade ignition system for it. They are so hot that it can burn a hole through the rotor. I helped a guy figure out why his GM car wouldn't run. He had installed a new timing chain and just throwing money at it. He worked on it for days. I popped the distributor cap off and took a look at the rotor. It had a very small black speck on it. I took a piece of tape and put on the speck. It fired up and run. Then i put in a new rotor.

(quoted from post at 10:31:34 01/22/21) That made me smile.
ou got to love those GM trucks. I have had my one ton 72 GMC with dump box since 1981. I replaced the worn out 350 with a low mileage used 327 out of an older Pontiac station wagon source from an auto wecker. It has been running flawlessly ever since, and gets infrequent use.
