Went for a drive to look at the Massey Harris pony and JD. Guy said pony ran a year ago. Within 5 minutes of looking it over it went to maybe 5 years. Motor stuck. Tires buried in dirt up to the rims. Some weird power steering set up. Had a 3 point hitch and rear hydraulics. Wouldn't come off $500. We left with out it. JD was worse. Lots of missing parts. My wife did buy a nice cart from him. We are going to rig a hitch to pull it behind the purple cub. On the way home we stopped at a flea market/ junk store. Got a window for the barn,2 breaker bars( one is Craftsman) a 1/2-9/16 combo wrench, a sprinkler tractor, and a pocket knife......$20. Fun day puttering around Alabama.

Glad you walked away from those.
Those MH Ponys are fun to look at, but the Cubs are the way to go.
Tell your wife I like the cart.

We saw a steel wheel wagon at the junk store. Sorta like yours. He wanted $150. It needed some welding on the frame. Said the guy that owns it would be around on Saturday. He may take less. May have to go ride up there.

I love my steel wheeled wagon.
I can heap it up with black locust firewood and I have not had a flat tire yet.
The tires on my smaller rubber tired trailer were looking IFFEY when I had it loaded 2 days ago.

Looks like the sprinkler is a faded MM. Mick might be back in business as MinnieMo Mick. Or maybe you will paint it plum crazy purple like that cub. I would say you were smart to pass up the tractors , especially with your luck finding much better ones at good price.

If that cart was cleaned up, the metal painted flat black (or left as is) and the wood sanded a bit and the whole thing treated with matte clear polyurethane......

You could likely get $500 for it.

I have three sisters to your MH Pony....Interesting Steering....
If by chance you should share some pictures of the steering arrangement...Thank you.

(quoted from post at 12:54:47 01/21/21) Is that a steering sector from a Chevy truck? Interesting Idea
GM something I would guess too.

Had a buddy with a 1967 chevy pickup.
Power steering unit like that went out.
He got another that looked the same and bolted it in.
Then when all done and operational he discovered it was bass ackwards.
Turn wheel right, truck went left, turn left, truck went right.
He left it like that and drove it for several years that way.
