Wishful thinking

Seen this on my local Craigslist. Hope he
left plenty of room for negotiation at that
price lol

Along the same line today I was Googling SC Case tractors and came up on an auction ad for an SC with no rear rims hood or gas tank. It said sold for $950. The last two bidders must have wanted it real bad.

I guess they've watched too many episodes of American Pickers, that's their "I don't want to sell it price" or their better half told them to sell it so they priced it so high no one would buy it lol

Like the SC I looked at last year that
"runs good" but I went to look at it and it
had no battery, no carburetor and the
engine was stuck! They wanted $1,000 I
walked away

I wish folk wouldn’t get so wordy on their descriptions like that Ford. The web site it’s on doesn’t like iPads, so I can’t expand the awkward pics, I think it is a 4000? Didn’t even check if I can see diesel or gas.

When I was looking for a 5000 the local jockey had a 5200. Nice tractor, but he wanted $10,000. Yikes. It sold that week. Ok, fine, not to me.

3 months later at a farm auction 60 miles away I found my 5200, was $5400.

That must be owned by the say person that has the narrow front John Deere 2010 near me for $9,000. Or he has fat fingers and added one to many zero's. Tom

Here in west Michigan, people from Chicagoland are buying all the country property they can get their hands on, and paying big money for it. Relators are complaining they don't have enough supply to keep up with demand, open land values have more than doubled. So I guess for someone paying this kind of money for land, a tractor like that with a loader is a real bargain compared to a new one comparable at $30,000. Like they say, "location location location".

Very true, I seen Meridian Equipment near Chicago always has equipment advertised for at least triple the price of what I usually see the same thing sell for, but if they got someone willing to pay it, thats good for them
