Hi. A couple years ago, I bought a power steering cylinder, on Ebay, that was from a "76" vintage Fiat 460 tractor. I recently took time to do this project. I made up the brackets, hoses, power steering pump to fit it on my B414 international with a loader. Everything went smoothly till I started it up! It made a hard left turn and stayed there. I had to jerk the steering wheel hard to get it to come back, but it then made a hard right. I found that the shuttle valve was sticking badly. When I pulled it apart, I found the hardened sleeve in the valve was broken in the middle, causing the shuttle to bind up.
In looking for a replacement or parts, I find these to be pretty much non-existant. Does anyone have an old cylinder, with a valve that is not froze up, that they might part with? Otherwise, I guess I take my losses and start over.
