Right hip surgery update

Well, I had my right hip surgery last Monday and have had 2 physical therapy visits so far. As of right now, everything is going about like the left one did so by the end of next week I should be on my cane again and off this walker (walkers aren't real good when you have an 18 month old in the house wanting to help), but I'm blessed to have him. I do have some burning above where the incesion I figure I'll ask he surgeon about it next Friday when I see him. I've been able to sleep without waking up the wife with my yelling which is a first in a long time. So as of right now I'd rate it at 99 out of 100% and I'm happy with it.
 
That's good news
I have some friends that have had them done an wish they would of had it done long ago. They say now In stead of shuffling there feet that they can now walk and walk like a new guy. Keep up on the therapy it help me on my arm. Get well soon so you can try an keep up to the 18 month lol.
 
Keith - been waiting to see you post - glad things went well. My left was done Tuesday - first time for me so its all new. Still stiff and a bit swollen, but I can get up out of the sofa bed by myself and to the bathroom with the walker. Had one PT session Thursday and go back twice next week. Good luck and speedy recovery.

Be careful you don't fall down. I am having to use a cane when I walk because of cancer in my back. The last two days I have had to navigate a couple of icy patches. Canes don't work good on ice.
 
really didn't think to grease it and never found the zerk. I'll have to ask where it is when I go in next week for the check up. He should get a kick out of it LOL
 
Modern medicine is cool! I have a new knee as of Dec 14 th. All ready turned loose from PT. Love it. Hope your hip goes good as well.

Keith when I had the first knee done I joked to the doctor about the zerk. I got no reaction from him whatsoever. Here in farm country he has probably heard that comment so many times he spaces it out. He did have a good sense of humor, but evidently this joke has run its course with him. My brother in law is going in to have his second hip replaced on Feb 4th. He held out for awhile but now he cant lay in bed long so he goes to the recliner which does not last long either. I think his will be done by a robot if I remember right.
 
Take a grease gun with you, he won't be expecting that!! LOL They do make food grade grease that wouldn't hurt you to use.
