Follow up to F150 steering column issue

A few weeks ago I asked about the starter pushrod failing inside the steering column in my 1996 F150. As a followup, I got a replacement column from a friend of mine, and had a shop replace the whole thing. Charged me $124.00 which I was more than pleased with, although I was getting used to starting it by manually using the starter switch hanging under the column!

I didn't see your post, but assuming it's a tilt wheel truck you need to replace a e9tz3e715-b , THIS LINK FIX'S THE NO START with key.

Not a tilt wheel. Something brokevinside column so couldnt start with key. Replaced key switch, that wasnt it. So had been starting it by switch under column. Replacement column and all is good

Brings back memories of touching two loose wires together to make the starter run. I didn't think anything of it 50 years ago. Now I push a button on the fob so the truck seats are warmed up and the heater is running when I walk out of the door.

It's a rough life. . .

I'm not making light of your problem - it's aggravating when you're up front and personal with it. It will get better with time.
