Archer grease

Last summer I got the remaining inventory from an Archer dealer who passed away. There was a little bit of everything but not a lot of anything. This grease was included. I assume Solidified Oil is their trade name for their lithium grease? The all purpose grease label is self explanatory. Is it any good quality wise? I suppose that is in the eye of the beholder!

If I had a nickel for every tube like the bottom one pictured that I changed out while growing up, I would have a nice full bucket. Neighbor sold Archer and got Dad hooked to it and also myself, they had good
products. Neighbor also started collecting the older items with the "Archer" on it as they had to drop that icon for the Native Americans. So might what to keep that one for awhile and not use it. Though they
did change the recipe on the grease pictured and then I went with another brand, to thin for me. chris

I wouldn't hesitate to use it.

Chances are Archer doesn't make it but sends their logo or tubes to a facility that fills them with whatever they specify.

All grease is solidified oil. It's oil, usually hypoid oil mixed with a solidifier, usually soap based, to solidify it to whatever consistency is desired, ranging from 6 (very hard sticks) to 000 (heavy oil).

I Googled this grease and didn't come up with anything. Must be discontinued. There are quite a few aerosol cans of penetrating oil that have lost their pressure. I have been punching a hole in them and pouring it in a squirt can. I like that arrangement better anyway. Also there are a bunch of cans of radiator flush, it looks like a rust dissolver type stuff.

Never could understand the whole anti native picture or logo hatred ? Who cares ? We haven’t ran around in a loin cloth and bow and arrow for probably 250 years , I’d rather see a picture depicting a native than to just blot the whole race from history
