Another cub

Found us another cub. It's a '49. It was under a lean-to and the barn burnt. It's in pretty good shape. Oil is still good, radiator appears fine. Wire coatings all burnt off but wires didn't melt. Tires are burnt, but I got 2 free rear tires at the scrap yard a couple days ago. It was cheap. The motor is loose and magneto snaps good. Hope to hear it purring in a few days! Worst part is one front wheel doesn't turn. Bearing got too hot I guess.

No way. Fords do the work around here. Cubs are fun to fool with. And they sure are nice lawn mowers.

Did you get the cave entrance pictures?? . If you where closer I have a pair of usable rear tires off a cub. They where replace due to being weather checked but still held the tube in

We have 3 running cubs. A burnt up parts cub. This one. And my dad got one from us. Bought 5 of them in last 6 months. Lol.

Wow! I knew you were getting quite a collection of them. I just rebuilt a cub for a guy, well it was actually for his wife for Christmas. It was the last tractor her dad farmed with and it hadn't ran in over 20 years. She was so excited when she seen it running again she cried, she never thought it would run again. The best part was she had no idea it was getting repaired lol

Tomorrow when I go out to check the mail or get something for my mom I'll send you a picture of a machine you need to come up here and get it is small enough to fit on your flat bed truck and would come in handy for clearing fence rows. By the way did you get your Christmas gift??

I dreamed last night that I was on a tractor and I looked at the right front tire and it was sliding along.
It finally freed up and started turning.
Weird.

My 1935 JD B is steel wheeled. Years ago I was driving it up my driveway when one of the front wheel came off and rolled about 10 feet and then fell over and laid flat on the ground. I found that at some point someone had put on the wrong type of nut to hold the wheel bearing and the nut worked loose and the wheel then came off the spindle

A business acquaintance of my brother restores Cubs and has a very nice museum. We went summer before last to look at what he has. Besides The Cubs, he had an impressive collection of one row planters and drawn plows. Unfortunately I did not take any pics.

At the rate you are buying those little tractors you will corner the market in Alabama!😀
