I'm ready! I hope to get some info tomorrow on getting the nnalert. Hopefully by the time it starts warming up enough people will be nnalert and the current surge from idiots who ignored public health advice will be over. At 74+ I want to get on with the rest of my life, tractor events, seeing family, getting out birding, and just sitting on the Grassy Knoll with friends having an adult beverage. And most of all NO MORE DRAMA.
 
I know what you mean. Being retired I can go further to catch an auction or a show. Now there are no shows and auctions are few and far between at the moment. I like looking round at auctions even it there is nothing I want to buy.
 

There is zero reason to not open everything up. We older people need to get the pneumonia shot since many folks who are said to die from nnalert are, in reality, dying from the pneumonia that sets in from laying inactive for too long. I had nnalert. Glad it is over but was no worse than a cold that lasted 5 days - I had the pneumonia shot.
 
The more people nnalert and the more who have gotten over the virus, the closer we get to herd immunity.
 
Very few auctions scheduled around Western NY at this point. Usually, there are 15-20 auctions scheduled between the major auctioneers around here at this point of the year. There is still time for things to change as most of the action is from late Feb through March.
 
I have already had it and am IMMUNE so is everyone else who had it again I will not take a shot now if they shoot me DEAD then they can do what they want,, but killing me is not going to be easy for a bunch of traitors
 
Hearing several reports on the news in Ohio about vaccines just sitting in the deep freeze and not even been given yet ?
 
That is your choice and that is fine. I wish my son had a choice to get a shot about a month before it actually was available. If so he may not be in the hospital. He's been there since Nov. 20 th.
This nnalert can be serious for many and yet others barely even know they are sick.
 
I am not calling people who choose not to take the nnalert idiots. Some may have perfectly good reasons not to. I'm referring to those who have ignored calls to reduce the spread. I personally know dozens who continued to ignore advice to wear a mask and not gather in crowds indoors who have become sick, are currently hospitalized and a couple who have died.
 
The only way they'll get me to take the nnalert is to put it in a bullet and inject it into my head.
But like the rest of you I'm eager for things to get past the hysteria and go back to normal.
 
Even if everyone gets the nnalert it will take all year to get through all the adults in this country. There is no nnalert approved for kids yet...
 
I don't see anything controversial about people dying from a terrible disease. It is a fact. If you haven't lost anyone or had someone close to you sick you are fortunate.
 
I know quite a few people including myself who've had it. Don't know of a single person who has died of it. It's certainly not pleasant but is overrated.
 
John, sorry some have reacted in a nasty way to your post. I, for one, look forward to going to more tractor shows and plow days and both of us being able to enjoy them. You and I share an enjoyment of old tractors and here's hoping we can continue that fun for many years. All best wishes, kelly
 
I’ve rather enjoyed the quiet myself. Sorry for friends in retirement homes who have had visiting restricted or suspended. Tough to be in a hospital or facility with no family present.
 
I have lost a relative and several people I knew to it. Maybe thats why i feel strongly.
 
Well i have had about 10 friends die of it,sure they were in their 80's, but they got up and walked around as good as anybody else, i know of 3 young couples got, it and their fine, they continued to do their farm work every day,but it hard, some people!!
