Got my new to me snowblower home. Been looking for one of these for a while, usually sell for more than I am willing to pay.

Long term plan is to mount an engine to this and push it with the TLB.

I am praying we can get enough snow to make me wish I had a blower . We are in pretty bad shape as far as soil moisture as in there isn’t any

Not quite as bad here but close. Haven’t had worthwhile rain since the end of July. Just got a couple inches of snow the other day. Could definitely use some moisture before spring.

We need a bunch of snow . Maybe will get some freezing rain in January like we normally do or maybe snow I am not picky at this point

Sv, we are in the same boat over here in eastern Oregon. It's been waaaay too dry and last year wasn't that great either. Even the mountains don't have much snow.

Great looking blower. How is it powered? I can see a drive shaft and a u-joint but I can't see where the power is fed from.
There are a few times some years when I could use that......like on the 17th and 18th of last month when we got about 30" of show.

I bought a wrecked front mounted snow blower a few years ago made specifically for a Deutz-Allis tractor and it has a drop down gearbox driven by the rear PTO with a shaft to the front mounted blower. Not quite as big as yours. Never got a "round-tuit" cause it needs quite a lot of stuff to make it operational. My original thought was to mount it on my Allis D-17 but I would have to put "wings" on it because it is a little too narrow.

As it is right now it is just a regular 3pt mount blower. It is just sitting on the loader forks from unloading it.

I want to mount a Diesel engine to it for power, then I can use the loader quick attach to hookup and go when I need it.

Many winters we don’t get a whole lot of snow, but it blows and 2 miles of field can fill up the road in and out of here.

Wow....I was really off base on that one! LOL

I worked at a place back in the early 60s where they had a gigantic snow blower that mounted on the front of a Caterpillar loader.
It was powered by two V-4 Wisconsin air cooled engines. You can imagine trying to get both of those engines started at zero temperatures. If you got them started, trying to keep them both running and synchronized was a nightmare. Needless to say, it never got used much. With all the nice little diesel engines available today, it could now be made into something really usable.
