As this is the last tractor pic I'll post for 2020, these 3 old John Deere tractors represent the end of the year. May the New Year be a darn sight better!

I’m not so familiar with old JD, but those fenders are a little different than what I’m used to seeing on a Deere. Did they have that curve for only a short time, as a
specialty, or haven’t I gotten out much?

"Wheatland", or standard tractors. Wide swinging drawbar, no three point, wider tires, fixed wheels/axles, wide fenders/platform guards, etc. etc. I've never seen one here in the northeast. But I've seen many in pictures, over the years. Certainly you must have also? The one that sticks in my mind is the AC D17. Dressing it up like a wheatland tractor didn't give it the size to compete. That version failed.
 
Ah. That would explain it, no such thing here in the upper mid corn belt...... I’ve seen a Very few IHC tractors with that far west configuration, but not JD.
