for the feet anyway. had a couple inches of wet snow yesterday and temps dropped over night. pretty icy and slick. i really dont like the woo hoo slip and fall. gettin to old for that. picked up a pair of ice cleats today along with a new pair of steel toes water proof work boots. they just slip right over your shoes/ boots. at the sporting goods section by the ice fishing gear.

Good idea. One pair should be on slip-on type boots that allow them to be non-slip slip-ons. One needs rapid deployment sometimes. Jim

We went crazy for those at work and they were the ticket right up to the point where folks came into a building with concrete floors. The coefficient of friction approaches 0 at that point and we had several bad falls.

I got a pair of Yak-Traks from my daughter for Christmas at least ten years ago. Love 'em. Can drive with them on, just don't walk into any building with marble or quarry tile floors.
