To all of of you YTr's that have wished me well.>>> Looking back on this, my problems started back mid summer. I had a drastic drop in appetite and nothing tasted good. In Oct.I started moldboard plowing with a different tractor and had to twist my belly around to view the plow. I thought spending the days twisted like this was affecting my gut, but things got worse and then I could not eat without puking afterwards. I went to the hospital back on the 5th. CP scans showed that I had a severe blockage at the top of my intestines. They took me into surgery and found multiple tumors all through my stomach that tested positive for cancer, including my liver and pancreas. They removed what they could with the surgery, but a lot still remains on my liver and pancreas. They tell me that they can't cure me, but hopefully they can limit the spread with cimo. Not what I what I wanted to hear, but all I can do now is take each day as it comes. I wish that they could get my gutt working again so I can eat something. I have lost 54 pounds since Nov., and these pumps, bags of nutrients, and all the plumbing in my stomach and neck are tough for me and my wife to deal with. I have an appointment with the GI surgeon Tuesday. I am hoping that she will allow me to start eating something again. The wife and I are trying to figure out how I am going to get into the car with all this stuff hooked to me and then into the hospital with it all attached to me. I may have to dig out the old Radio-Flyer and pull it behind me.>>>>>Again thankx for all your well wishes.------Loren, the ACG.

Wishing you and your family all the best Loren! Hoping you can start feeling better soon and get back to the activities you so love

The power to heal is 50% in the hand of medicine and 50% in a person's determination to keep on the green side of the grass. We have witnessed your determination, and pronounced it good. We care very much. Jim

Hi, Loren, Keep your spirits up. I am a one year survivor of cancer that is non curable too. Been thru radiation and chemo that I thought was going to do me in but it didn't. Don't feel as good as I used to but I am still here. Wishing you well on your journey.

Sorry to hear about all of your problems Loren. You went through a lot of not feeling well before the surgery they way it sounds. Being in the kind of shape that makes you throw up can't be pleasant. I am praying the doctors can get you fixed up so you can be feeling well and active again. Jim

You have friends here never forget that.

Ben

I am sorry to hear about your health issues but glad to hear you are home. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I have been dealing with stage 4 colorectal cancer since late summer of 2019 and have had a full course of chemo, radiation treatments with chemo, surgery which removed half of my liver where the cancer had spread and an attempt at surgery to remove the tumor which was unsuccessful. So now back to the chemo treatments as the cancer has picked up steam again. It is not much fun but God has carried me through it this far and I will pray He does the same for you. Best wishes from a fellow Upstate New Yorker.

When my 9 year old nephew had cancer, to the point that the Dr's at KU Med Center told my Brother he likely wouldn't make it through the night at one point, he not only survived, but has been cancer free for close to 20 years. The Dr's told my Brother that the reason kids have a good chance of beating it, is that they don't really have a concept of life and death, and so it is easier for them to have a pure 100% attitude they will beat it. The Dr's said that keeping a positive attitude that you will beat it can help as much as medicines. KU is a premier cancer hospital.

Please keep a positive attitude that you will beat this. Good luck, I have no doubt there will be a lot of prayers helping you along the way. Bob

I got an email telling me Loren. Sorry as I can be to hear it. I hope they can keep you comfortable. I forwarded the information to a few other old timers on here who I thought might want to know.

Been praying for you, I know Case guys are tough. Hoping all goes well, been though the cancer deal also. 2 year check up this week. You will pull through it, we still need your wisdom. Jim

Wishing and praying the best for you. One thing I wonder- can Mrs. Case keep the home wood fires burning? For many years I heated with wood but last season gave up the wood burning for propane. Sure isn't the same.

Always enjoy your post, prayers for your healing and keep us informed. You are just like a neighbor down the road to us all.

Loren, it is great to see your post today. I don't normally respond to a lot of the posts for prayers etc. I do pray and I believe in the power of prayer.

I have a neighbor that was a nurse and worked with cancer patients. She ended up with breast cancer and almost died while doing treatment for it. She said that she would never go through that again. She would try a natural approach first.

I had a kidney removed in 2009 because of cancer. She lent me a copy of a book called Outsmart your Cancer by Tanya Harter Peirce. It is a good read and has a lot of information in it. I bought my own hard copy of the book nut I found it as a pdf download on the internet. I will try to add a link to it as it may be able to help someone on here.

Praying for you(and others as well)and your family. Keep your head up and get feeling better.

Steven

Good to see you're back here. Thanks for explaining everything. I have neighbor that maybe going thru something similar. He had stomach cancer about 10 years ago and went into remission, about 5 or so years ago he was diagnosed with liver and pancreatic cancer. Doctors removed alot of his liver and he did chemo. So far he's doing well, still farms with his 80 yo dad. I'm telling you this so that you know that you still probably have alot left to do here and alot of life to enjoy, if you're anything like my neighbor.

Keep up the positive attitude and be of good courage is what my grandfather would advise me.
A little story, about 70 years ago I had 2 neighbors with stomach cancer, Doctors cut them open and sewed them back up. Nothing could be done. Both of them lived for real close to 20 more years. One of them pretty much lived on as diet of salt pork. Can't explain it.

Ya, some days get pretty trying for you and the Mrs., I wager. I been through two colon cancer bouts with 6 months of chemo between. Went for a week without keeping anything down. Hang in there.
I'm a closet Case guy, grew up driving one, have an old one in the shed waiting 10 years for me to finish a waterpump job.

You can do it, might have to make some changes though...lol. IaLeo nard now over 85 and not going to quit, either.

Welcome Back,
Sorry to hear you have had such a rough time. We have missed you.
Prayers from Western Ky for a good recovery!
Nick

Loren >>> Just keep the plow in the ground and you will pull through this. Will talk to you soon. Jack >> Old Scovy.

Best wishes Loren. Hoping and praying for the best for you. If it's too much for you and the missus I'm sure you qualify for help, like visiting nurse, transportation, ect. Answers can be found on line or from a social worker at the hospital. Best of luck.

Sorry to hear about what you have to go thru, you are a strong, determined person, I'm praying for you to get thru this. God has a plan, just follow along and trust in him. Chris

You have influenced many of us here with your talents and skills and I always was sure to read your postings.

Sorry to hear that Loren. Hopefully the doctors can got you fixed up and back to normal. RB

Loren, great to here you are back home. Sounds like you have quite a bit of apparatus for support, anything is better than a hospital with their constant interruption of your rest for this or that. Sorry to hear about them finding cancer what a horrible disease. I often wonder if there are many common items including things in our diets that cause this disease to be so prominent. My wife is into healthy eating and gets a lot of information about how certain foods affect the systems of the human body. Much of it I find very interesting and some of it borders on cultish idealism. We don’t eat as healthy as she would like us to, it seems like the ultimate health diet according to information she gets is vegan which I have definitely not given into. Another huge factor as far as keeping your immune system as robust as possible is to cut out sugars, in particular refined white sugars. When you get back to eating many dishes or recipes can be prepared by substituting maple syrup for sugar...where will you get that?.. If you search the internet you can find substitution information. My wife can get you much more information on boosting your immune system if you would like that please send me an email. You and your loved ones are definitely in my prayers. Rick

Best wishes to you and will keep you and your Mrs. in my prayers. Please listen to your doctors because they know what's best for you. I know that only too well. Keep on getting stronger. MtMan from Pa.

Loren, good to see you post again. Sadly, not the kind of post we would rather have seen. What you're going through hits a bit too close to home for us, so let me just say we will keep you in our prayers.

Wife wanted me to ask how far it is to your doctor appointment (rhetorical question). She has told me many times how she became overwhelmed and could no longer take her Dad and another friend back and forth to St. Cloud all the time, that there was actually a Medi-Van that made the long trek to take them. Not sure if Medi-Van is the right term or not, and further not sure how likely it would be to be able to set your watch by such rides. Still, it may be an option worth looking into. Wife says it was free to them 25 years ago. She also has said she would only consider that as a last alternative. Sometimes it's harder to wait on a ride than to squeeze into your own vehicle and just get where you wanna be.

Our best to you sir!

I should have said screw the nnalert this spring and come to visit you like we planned. Keep up the fight, you have lots of us praying for you and yours.

ACG, I counted over 100 replies to your post surely that shows many care and are praying for you. I have read and followed several post over last bit regarding you. Know these prayers are being lifted for you. I do not make many post and have not been a YT member very long but easily have seen many are a very close knit family. I feel a bit of an outsider and try to be as I was taught as a child to be seen and not heard, however I wanted to share some thoughts. You folk can agree or disagree will not hurt my feelings just felt like a good time and place to share. I have often wondered, surely as many others have why do we have to deal with such diseases? Why did Christ not just eliminate these things as he healed many people during his short time here on earth? He could have done so if it had been in his Fathers plan but apparently it was not. So that must show us at least two things. One, God has allowed mankind to suffer as a result of the sin of mankind maybe to show us that we are not able to overcome everything on our own. In other words we need help. Surely He created a body for man with the ability to heal itself of minor things a cut finger, bruised limb, broken bone, etc. Sometime the old body heals up with help of medication and knowledge of doctors that He has gifted to mankind to help us because he loved us. Advances are made all the time in medicine. Many diseases have cures now that did not a few years ago. Possibly part of His plan. Second we must know and believe Christ came to this earth for one purpose to redeem mankind so we could be in the presence of God for eternity! If he had spent his time healing those diseases we would have missed out on the purpose He came for. It is not ours to question why we face the things we do. I guess that is when faith comes into play. My prayer for you and all other YT folk and family that are dealing with sickness that healing and recovery are just around the corner and that preperation is made to be in the presence of God through the things Christ did while he was here on earth. Hope no one is offended by these thoughts. May God bless each and everyone of the YT family.

I'll be thinking of you. Lifes journeys sometimes aren't fair. Hopefully everyone's prayers and thoughts will help you find some strength and comfort in your battle.
Eric

Best wishes to you Loren. I know in the past you've stated your belief people are foolish for praying for others since you don't believe in any of that "sky god" stuff as you put it, but if it's all the same to you I'll continue to say a prayer for you and your family.

Keep your positive attitude, it goes a long way in things getting better. We all need your common sense and Case knowledge.

Good luck to you. Hope you feel better. Was going thru the Case archives last night since I was thinking about a 730 and your name came up all the time.
