Old farm adds and photos

I bought a old farm here that has been in one family over 100 years. In the old house found this stack of magazines from the 40s and 50s. Most are Progressive Farmer and Farm Journal . They are in good shape or at least have not been wet. Flipped thru and shop a few photos. Just about any tractor brand you can think of back in those days. One has a full center double page for case around 56 I think. I think Grandpa Love needs the ford one. Anybody has any particular interest let me know. See the photos.

This screwy thing will not let me open my e-mail if you still have my phone number send me you address in a text I,ll do my best to get it to you. If you have lost the number let me know and we will figure out some way to communicate.

I don't have any magazines but I have a pile of Farmall Super C Fast Hitch adds out of magazines. Same style adds as yours just different tractors.

You can shoot me a text. 256-404-0123. Heck I give out a thousand business cards a year with my number on 'em. And it's on the side of my truck. Lol. Seems ok to post it here.

That was my first thought also. Companies did not waste money on adds back then. Most of the adds either had one of two themes. How to do something faster or how to do it cheaper. Not like all these crazy tv adds today.

Allis Chalmers is my brand, but I am a sucker for old literature. I enjoy reading and collecting books and magazines printed prior to the 1970's. As has already been stated the ads and articles of yesteryear are way more informative and entertaining to read than today's none sense. Thanks for posting.

I love old farm magazines, this summer I picked up a lot of old Progressive Farmer magazines from am estate. This family had bought this farm in 1931 and never threw anything away, will have time to look thru the magazines and other literature this Winter on cold and wet days sitting by the wood stove.

I'm hoping for relief from the wet weather, rain poured all day yesterday, water is way up in creeks and rivers as the ground was already saturated. At least its not snow if it had been we'd be buried.

Jim, I dont mean to hijack your post, but I would appreciate your help, as I saw you posted about having a large amount of experience with International/Dresser 175's. Started a thread in the crawler dozer section. Please contact me through that.
