I don't see what would hurt you. I spent alot of hours on a seat like that or am I missing something. Of course I could not do that today lol.

I’m wondering if this was the first 4wd articulated agriculture tractor. What I read would make it seem so.

I was thinking the same, has to be one of the early pivot designs.

Can't tell for sure, but I think the operator must be strateling the driveshaft which drives the rear portion. And when the tractor turns, that driveshaft moves from left to right (U-joints on each end). Just a guess....

From the pic, it looks like the driveshaft is to the left of the driver
