Fireplace working.

I am moving the way through my chores. We did not use our fireplace last winter because the refractory base was shot. I picked up a generic base, and wet saw last week. Got it cut yesterday and installed today with the log lighter burning to start curing it. I will run the gas logs for a couple evenings then put in a little wood. The wet saw was a little Ryobi circular unit and it was really handy. We are super excited to burn wood again. The log lighter and wood rack were too low and were in the ashes. I picked up a new log rack and am adding an inch and quarter to the legs. I also put in a couple street ell's on the log lighter to raise it.

A fire is always nice on a cold evening, or morning. My main heat in my house is from my wood stove. Do you grow your own wood? Stan

I have about 11 acres of timber, with 1/4 of it down from storm last winter, come on over and get some.
