I bought a Snowfire a couple years ago. It would run great and then just quit. I put a fuel pump in it last year. Same problem. Pulled fuel tank apart this year and pickup tube was off on the inside. I put a new hose and pickup and bushing in it. Now it runs consistently, but I can’t get it tuned to run right now. Tried a bunch of carb and choke settings, but still runs like junk. Don’t want to go too much farther on off chance the main seals are bad. Anybody around Iowa work on these?

I assume this is an old machine , do a compression test first , if good then ethanol has ate up all fuel system parts

You need to do a compression check. One part of it is to see what compression is in the cylinders and the other part is to see if the crankcase is sealed. The fuel pump may not be able to pump the required gas to the carb if there is a leak in the crankcase. Also if there is a leak in the crankcase it will run lean and you will burn it down.

I agree that a bad crankshaft seal is likely. I found one once by removing the carb and pouring gas in with it tipped up to the side. The gas ran right out the side. When the seal is just starting to go bad you can be riding it and be just amazed at how great it is running. Five miles later it will stop.
