unstyled A steering shaft bearings

I am restoring a J.D. unstyled A Ser. #445167. I've had zero luck in finding the JD77205R and JD7253R steering shaft bearings. I would appreciate any help in locating a pair of these. Thanks, Steve

Steve, welcome to YT! I don’t want to state the obvious here but did you try a web search ..Google.. by the part numbers you gave. I did and multiple options came up for each. If you want to drive down to your local store and pick up a couple of these it probably won’t happen, just have to give in and order stuff to be shipped to you. By the way when you post a topic and want to reply to it like you did here to make a correction or add more information click the reply button in the box your initial message was in. This way the information about the subject or topic in your ..thread.. will stay in one grouping and will be easier for others to follow.

Thanks for the welcome Used red mn. Yes, I shopped the net myself, my wife did, and every NAPA, Bearings and Drives and other parts stores in Gainesville. We called vintage suppliers like Sharps, etc. but they were out. My net research turned up a Timken 21BA and then that number disappeared in subsequent charts. Anyway, I sure appreciate all the info you provided on postings and I can see people here are generous with their knowledge. Mark-IA suggested New Paris Tractor Parts in IN. and they had a pair. Thanks a lot, Steve

Good morning Mark, Thank you for the info. I talked to Rick at New Paris Tractors and he had just what I needed, plus a quill. I appreciate this new source for parts. Steve

Those bearings are still available through any John Deere dealer, cup (Timken #483) is about $43, cone (Timken #21BA) is about $25.

How does that compare with the aftermarket parts?

Wore Out, I came back to the site tonight and saw that you had answered my post. Thanks for doing that. I will keep these numbers on file though I was able to get a pair of bearings from New Paris Tractors. They have quite a website! Again, thanks for the info. Steve
