I must not be a morning impaired person since I don't use much if any coffee. Wife says I have to drink 1 cup. I went years without drinking it at all. I'd rather have chocolate milk. Chocolate milk goes so much better with most things like Pie,egg sandwich, cake or cookies, and a lot of other things like hamburgers.
 
When I was a 'teen, I got a VERY bad taste of Very bad coffee. So I get my caffiene from Cola. Gotta have it, just the same.
 
So are people who say not to talk to them before their morning coffee saying that they are unpleasant to be around when they're not under the influence of drugs, or are they saying that you're unpleasant to be around until they are under the influence of drugs?
I'm a tea drinker. I used to love the smell of coffee, just not the taste.
 
I myself like to have some in the morning. Every one has there own thing like I know some people that can't stand coffee but they have to have the cigarette frist thing in the mornine.

offee is not addictive in the physical sense.
 
Well, I'm surprised at how many negative comments this post has elicited. I drink eight or ten cups of coffee every day. When people offer me plain water to drink, I always tell them , "No thanks, I'm thirsty not dirty."

We enjoy 2 cups of tea in the morning, British style.
I find it relaxing and if I don't have time for it, no problem.
Can't stand coffee.
I tried it as a kid, NASTY, at least to me.

I like coffee on the weekends, usually plain, sometimes with French Vanilla creamer - too lazy to make it every morning.

Tea sometimes, in the afternoon - milk, no sugar.
 
Broke my boys in to black coffee when they were 8 or 9 years old. I took a thermos of coffee when rabbit hunting. The wife would fix the boys hot chocolate. I refused to fix them hot chocolate told her they can learn to drink coffee black! Well turns out if you get cold enough hot black coffee does the trick. They both still drink hot black coffee 20 plus years later.
 
My Mother (of Norwegian descent) started me with a cup of black coffee before school when in kindergarten. I'm 75 now and still drink my coffee black.
 
I buy organic Italian roast beans. Grind fresh every morning. 3-4 cups. With local honey. Sometimes my wife makes creamer..... Peppermint or pumpkin spice......mmmmmmmm! But black is fine too. Hardly drink it the rest of the day. Will drink a cup or 2 on a road trip.
 

I drink black coffee and I really enjoy the taste. I drink regular first thing in the morning, then half-caf and in the afternoon I drink decaf. I just enjoy the taste and the warmth.
 
I am closing in on one million ounces of black coffee--hate the strong stuff or the Mickey D's stuff....but still here and yes, I can go without for days if necessary, like laying in a hospital!

I remember the stinking coffee in the old blue enamelled pot on the back of the wood burning cookstove.....eeewww. Leo
 
I enjoy my coffee in the morning. Only me and the dogs up that early. Nice and quiet. I’ll take mine black please.
 
You and me both. My Norwegian mama weaned me straight on to coffee, an been drinking it ever since. And if it stunted my growth any, I say good thing. Bang my head often enough at 6 foot, I didn’t need to be any bigger
 
That's me. "Morning Impared".I drink 2 or three cups before I even get out of the house.I even have a coffee cup says IH 'Premium' starting fluid.
 
I never started drinking coffee until I went into the Navy, and haven't quit. I remember my grandmother drinking coffee if it was real hot she would pour it in a saucer and drink it that way, until the cup cooled. I don't know if that was a Norwegian custom. Anyone else seen that done? Stan
 
If coffee tasted as good as it smells when you pop open the can, I couldn't get enough. However, if I want some caffeine, I grab a Coke.
 
I love the smell of coffe brewing. Just opening the can smells good. Did my best to learn how to drink it while I was still in school and trying to stay awake to study late at night. Drank some black, dumped in cream, then dumped in sugar until it looked like thin chocolate milk. It kept me awake, but after drinking gallons of it with all kinds of additives, I still cant stand the taste. Give me an early morning 12 ounce can of Sundrop for my caffiene!
 
CANT START DAY WITHOUT IT BROKE MY KIDS ON IT WHEN MAKING BABY BOTTLE! WIFE NEARLY KILLED ME THEY LOVED IT EVEN BROKE GRANDSON TO IT WITH BOTTLE TOO WAS AT RESTRAUNT WAITRESS FILLED HIS BOTTLE KID SPIT IT OUT STRAIGHT MILK LOOKED AT ME EMPTIED HALF OF BOTTLE ADDED MY COFFEE FROM CUP GAVE BOTTLE TO KID HAPPY GRANDSON! DIL ASKED HOW I KNEW BROKE HIM IN BABYSITTIN!!
 
The wife took care of our granddaughter while our daughter worked. From the time she could stand, if I set my coffee cup down, she would empty it.
 
Can't remember when I started drinking coffee that was just what we did all ways with cream fresh from the cow and sugar now black is fine how many cups many I don't keep track but its many. Try not to have to much after 3:00 pm it does keep me awake. Folgers for me please. Randy
 
I never drank coffee until I was 24 and I was working at Ford Motor Company. Vending machine coffee with double cream and double sugar (or sweetner). After 8 years at Ford...I QUIT...not coffee, Ford. In one of my attempts to lose some weight, I switched to black coffee.
I went to GM transmision manufacturing supervision in 1977, then to product assurance in 1984. When I was on the road, I would hit McD for coffee. They would ask if I wanted cream and sugar. I said no, I want it "extra black and no ice". ???? Poor kids. I want my coffee STRONG and HOT! I still say that from time to time.
Since I retired in 2007, I was going to the local McD at 6am everyday to have coffee with earlybird guys.
Now, McD closed to indoor seating, I make coffee every morning at home. I drink 2 cups, my wife drinks one up.
 
I was allowed coffee when rabbit hunting.

Started to reach for the milk and sugar, dad says if you're gonna drink coffee, learn to like it black. I got used to it.

50 years later, still can't stand coffee with cream or sugar in it.

Folgers is like drinking water with a cow turd soaked in it. I'm not a coffee conisuire But the taste of anything but Maxwell house is pretty distinct. Even mom used that.
